We started this project by building bookcases on either side of the fireplace.
AFTER
With painted bookcases, iron wall art, and carefully placed
accessories on the shelves, we created an interesting wall in this client's 2nd family room. I love the lady table. She puts a smile on my face.
BEFORE
The client had a large linen closet in her front hall. It was visable from the front entrance.
AFTER
Now here's a before and after!
The concept was to create an area to display her treasures from Africa and the drawers below still hold her linens. The best part was the leather-like wallpaper installed behind the shelves.
BEFORE
The niche at the top of the stairs lacked
impact and interest.
AFTER
The addition of a deep rich color in the background set the stage for displaying some of her wonderful accessories.
Our clients had 3 beautiful art pieces and we wanted to really draw attention to them. We painted a rectangle of complimentary color and hung our water colors inside the block.
No room for a library? In this living room we built one around the doors leading to the family room.
Wondering what to put on top of your kitchen cabinets? Try a few pictures, plastered finials and some greenery to add interest.
To draw the eye toward the second-story windows we placed art work and a wall floral arrangement. The colors compliment the wall and drapery. The client loved the effect.
No room for a full fireplace? Build a mantle out of fabulous moldings to display your accessories.
The walls are 9 feet high in this library/media room. We incorporated a few lines from our clients favourite poem all along the top of the room. She loves to reflect on its meaning and truly loves how it looks in this room.
This is a spa bathroom in my clients home and the low shelving idea was
created by a few of her friends. I was so impressed I thought I'd share it with you.
